Leaving Work Behind was originally founded by Tom Ewer after he decided to quit his cushy job in property management to follow his dreams. He was tired of always having someone looking over his shoulder during his work days and was yearning for that sweet feeling of freedom.
It turns out his rather bold decision to quit his job was a very good one as he learned how to produce a full-time income blogging, while only working part-time hours. That left him with the time to work on exciting new projects, including creating Leaving Work Behind.
Tom’s goal with this site was to help as many people as possible realize their own dreams of quitting their jobs and building an online business.
Ewer has recently moved onto new projects and has left Leaving Work Behind in our trustworthy hands.
We intend on keeping Tom’s vision going and will continue to help you reach your lifestyle goals.
We are a passionate team of experienced entrepreneurs, bloggers, content writers, SEO consultants, web designers and developers from all over the world.
Like Tom, we also left our traditional 9 to 5 jobs to pursue the style of life we had been dreaming of. We, of course, all had a different meaning of what that was. For some it meant having the ability to travel the world and work from wherever they wanted, while others want to work less so they could spend more time with family, and a few of us just want to be able to create our own schedule so that we could grab our surfboards and head out when the perfect swell rolled in.
Your reason for wanting to free yourself from your work shackles might be similar to ours or completely different. Whatever your reason is, we are here to help guide you through the process. Plus we’ll give you all the tools and knowledge necessary in order for you to succeed.
We want to create a community where you can learn how to develop the skills and habits required to start your own business and work on your own terms.
Well, we believe that this is the future of the business environment on a whole.
Trust us when we say: “This is not a fad. Working independently will only continue become more and more popular as time goes on.”
A lot of people will be shifting towards this type of working lifestyle in the next couple of years. Getting started now will put you one step ahead of the game.
How are we going to teach you to do this?
By sharing, in detail our own stories, experiences, and knowledge.
We have all taken a different route to where we are today and we would be lying if we said it was always easy. We have triumphed and failed in our ventures to freedom, the wisdom we’ve gained will work to your benefit as we use it to generate content to make your path easier.
We firmly believe that there is no reason why you can’t achieve your goals. You have the ability within you to match or exceed our achievements given the right circumstances, and Leaving Work Behind is our way of teaching you how to do just that.
We have several websites under the Leaving Work Behind brand, including the 30 Day Blog Challenge, Paid to Blog, Paid to Blog Jobs and Beginner Blogging.
