I’m going to keep this short and sweet.
Last year I went to Alive in Berlin. It was my first ever conference and I didn’t really know what to expect.
I needn’t have worried. I met countless awesome people (many of whom I am still in touch with and very much look forward to seeing again in May), saw some inspiring talks, and had the opportunity to explore one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Here are some highlights from Alive in Berlin 2014:
My time in Berlin was a huge catalyst for change, and I’m still feeling the reverberations of my experiences there to this day. I can’t wait to go back because I know it will have just as big an impact (if not bigger) this time around!
I’d also love to see you there though. I’ve not met that many Leaving Work Behind fans in person, and Alive in Berlin is an opportunity for that to happen.
So, if you have an adventurous spirit, an interest in expanding your horizons and are looking for something to push you into a new direction, join me at Alive in Berlin this May.
Early bird tickets are on sale from 14th-18th February. Within those dates you’ll have an opportunity to purchase an Alive in Berlin ticket at a healthy discount.

It was a pleasure to meet you there last year Tom, and I’ll see you there again this time around.
Tom Ewer says
Fantastic Rob, I look forward to it!

I used to think these conferences were over-hyped, but having seen you, and other genuine people, share their great experiences, I have to admit that I really do want to go.
Unfortunately I still haven’t made any plans to go to a conference this year, although at this point just for financial reasons I’m afraid. At the moment I just don’t have the spending power to travel that far for one, although I’ still on the lookout for one happening in Thailand or SEA.
(PS. ‘Find and’ instead of ‘find out’ on your link )
Tom Ewer says
No hype Ragnar! Shame you can’t make it.
P.S. Thanks for the error correction 🙂
Noku says
I haven’t seen much of what happens there but I checked out pieces of the some clips and feel so inspired.
Really wish I could go this year it looks awesome.
Tom Ewer says
What’s stopping you Noku?
Noku says
I live in South Africa and have plans to visit Switzerland in June this year. So it does’t look too good financially. 🙁
I will make it next year though. 🙂
Tom Ewer says
Next year it is then!
Marie says
Such a great experience, I have started two businesses and opened my outlook on the world, meeting like minded people and being inspired by them to go out and create.
Cannot wait till this years event, seeing some friendly
Faces and meeting some new ones.
Tom Ewer says
See you there Marie!
Elizabeth Manneh says
This conference sounds great and I’d love to come, but it’s a bit of a long haul from The Gambia! Hopefully you’ll be sharing some of what you learn?
Tom Ewer says
The Gambia! My dad used to run a hotel there. Small world 🙂
Robert Connor says
We would go to germany just for the beer!
Tom Ewer says
See you there then 😉
Noku says
Ha ha! Wow
Jeff Bronson *Kraven* says
Berlin sounds awesome. I’m currently in Goa, India from the U.S., and definitely craving some colder weather. The many Germans I’ve met traveling here have been pretty cool.
Tom Ewer says
Quite a long flight though Jeff 😉
